Plan "Top 10"

Having reached the objectives laid out in the Leader 2000 plan and having become the leading Spanish wine producing group for quality wines, Arco has begun its internationalisation process with the main objective of consolidating a direct presence and its own distribution in the main wine importing markets in the world (UK, Germany, United States) where they foresee the basis of growth in the coming years.

Arco enters the 'top 10' plan with a totally clear philosophy for the future which encompasses a series of projects to realise that philosophy.

  • Become one of the top 10 leading wine groups of the world.

  • Consolidate our presence with our own distribution companies in the main wine import markets. (United States, United Kingdom and Germany).

  • Be pioneers in the development of new distribution channels (e-commerce, catalogue sales, direct marketing, etc…) bringing wine closer to consumers. In 1997 ARCO began its own e-commerce through its subsidiary Bacchanalia, whose selling point is accessible through www.bacchanalia.com.

  • Firmly foster the culture and consumption of quality wine.

  • Foster the liberalisation of the sector whose excess regulation signifies a loss in productivity by the Spanish groups against their European competitors and producers in the New World (Australia, Chile, U.S.A., South Africa, etc…) that now enjoy an unregulated scenario. Our wager is for a legislation that brings tradition into harmony with innovation.

  • Maintain our growth and cost-effectiveness, creating value for our shareholders.
